The Dendrobium orchids are for instance found growing on trees or rocks in the wild, and their roots can not handle a soggy medium. For supreme Dendrobium orchid care, use a well draining potting mix or mount your Dendrobium orchid on a piece of wood or rock and let it grow just like it would in the wild.
